Hi everyone. I’m Mackenzie!— the hands, heart, and muddy boots behind Wandering Roots Flower Co.

I’m a lover of all things beautiful, and I thrive on soaking up every bit of sunshine and fresh air I can get before it’s gone (a Michigan winter is a looooong stretch of dark days).

Rooted in the fields of Livingston County, this little flower farm began as a daydream— one that grew wildly (and a bit stubbornly) into rows of blooming beauty. I grow seasonal, specialty cut flowers for local markets, events and everyday magic.

Aside from being a full-time farmer, I am a dedicated mother to two sweet kiddos, two rambunctious labs and one kitty that causes chaos wherever he sees fit. My happy place is making breakfast for the family on a Sunday morning.

A few of my favorite things are fresh cookies, exploring nature, peonies, quiet mornings, and watching my kids fall in love with new hobbies (LITERALLY THE BEST!).

Wandering Roots is all about slowing down, savoring beauty, and celebrating the fleeting. You’ll often find me harvesting in the golden hour light, drink of some sort in one hand and clippers in the other, chasing petals and purpose.
